Some new pics

My favorite red head! She's so happy and I love taking photos of her! She is the only one of my kids who doesnt run and make faces when I bust out the camera so you will be seeing alot of my little sugar bear! These were all taken today in the hallway next to my front door around mid afternoon. Our lighting sucks in the living room so I dragged the Bumbo down the hall and snapped away!

Hello!

Just a brief intro about me!
My name is Alexis. I am a Navy Wife and Stay At Home Mom to 3 great kids!
I've always been interested in photography but could never bring myself to indulge in a photography worthy camera. Recently I gave in and purchased a "starter" camera. (Nikon D40x) and now, I am hooked!
I want to learn everything I can about photography and eventually upgrade my camera.
I've found that my strength is natural light, meaning the outdoors and sunshine are my lighting and backdrops. I prefer to take pictures of my children, friends and family and when the occasional nature scene strikes my fancy I try to capture it as well. If you know me then you know my camera goes with me wherever I go (even back when all I had was a crummy Kodak Easy Share LOL).
I intend to take a class from a local photographer here in Jacksonville in the upcoming month and cannot wait!
So that is pretty much me. I'm not in this for money, its just a hobby that I'm beginning to love! Eventually when I get a little better I might start doing outdoor shoots for a little profit but in the meantime I will stick with my family & friends....in a few months I might venture into free sessions locally just to build a porfolio and practice.
